Shallow & Deep H2O Instructor Certification: This program is the entry level program for learning how to teach a basic Aquatic Fitness class. Whether you are new to the water, a lifeguard or just want to become an aquatic fitness Instructor - this is the program you should begin with. We will explore a variety of movements, techniques and basic body and working positions for both shallow & deep water depths. This intensive training will provide leaders with functional techniques to design safe and effective sessions for a variety of ages, fitness and skill levels. This foundation program will provide you with a complete overview of how to facilitate a safe, effective and enjoyable general group exercise program. You will experience both theory (classroom) and practical (pool) applications to build a well-balanced program which includes exercises to target the cardiovascular system as well as balance the body with stretching, posture and strengthening exercises. NO experience necessary just a love of the water and helping people to move. You will have up to four months after the training to complete the examination process. All exams and marking templates are in the manual to help become successful as an Certified Instructor.

Please note that this is a women's only pool.
16.0 CEC Re-Certification Workshop: This is an excellent option to update your techniques and renew your qualifications. There are no exams and you review the fundamentals as well as partake in the Saturday CEC workshop days. You achieve 16.0 hours of continuing education hours AND automatic Certification renewal for two years from your expiration date. We invite you to bring any questions or program ideas that you need clarification on as we may easily fit this into the schedule. Should you not be able to attend the entire event, we will provide a take-home quiz and DVD to submit to re-qualify.
Registration fee includes: 16 hours of onsite training, Workshop handouts, Updated Certification Diploma & online profile (for two years from your current expiry), Certificate of course completion: 16.0 CECs for WaterART, OFC, ACE, AEA, ICREPS & YMCA, WaterART Mitts (you choose small, medium, large, x-large). Should you be late or expired (within one year from expiry date), please add $20.00 for late fees. Unfortunately, if your qualifications are more than a year expired - you will not be eligible to complete this option.

8.0 CEC Practical Tool Box Workshop: An Excellent Instructor Review: Build a water gym with tools to take your skills to the next level. This shallow and deep water training program is an excellent option to update your Instructing qualifications by reviewing techniques and skills. Discover infinite ways to make programs interesting and effective. Review simple techniques to design purposeful safe and effective programs. This training will provide 50 ways to change up or provide combinations to your basic water fitness moves. We will review interesting exercise variations using specific water fitness moves to turn the water into the gym of the future. This session will review bottom and non bottom contact techniques to unload the body and maximize core challenge. Additionally, learn 10 ways to create more intensity or modify intensity with every water specific movement so that all patrons maybe safely challenged. Make the most of your movements and progress your programs!
